Mile1 Technologies Incorporated ("Mile1", "we", "us", "our") provides a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform designed to help courier and delivery companies ("Clients") manage their operations. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle data within our platform, available through our websites (https://mile1.ca and https://mile1delivery.com).
Our Clients collect data from their customers ("End-Customers") and input this data into our platform to facilitate and manage the delivery process. In this context, Mile1 acts as a data processor, and our Clients act as the data controllers.
Our platform processes data that our Clients collect from their End-Customers to enable their delivery services. We only process data that is necessary for the functionality of our software. This data includes:
Our primary use of the data is to provide, maintain, and improve our SaaS platform for our Clients. This includes processing the data as directed by our Clients to enable them to schedule deliveries, manage routes, and communicate with their End-Customers.
Our Clients use the data within our platform to carry out their delivery process, including contacting their End-Customers to coordinate and complete deliveries. The list of items shipped may be used by our Clients for insurance and verification purposes.
Mile1 treats all data provided by our Clients and their End-Customers as confidential. We will not sell this data to anyone. We will not share this data with third parties, except as necessary to provide our services (e.g., with subcontracted cloud hosting providers) or as required by law.
For Our Clients: Our Clients have direct access to the data they and their End-Customers have entered into the Mile1 platform through their administrative dashboard. Clients are responsible for managing this data and can export it as needed.
For End-Customers: If you are an End-Customer of one of our Clients and wish to access, correct, or delete your personal data, please direct your request to the courier company that is handling your delivery. As the data controller, they are responsible for managing your data. Mile1 will provide assistance to our Clients to help them respond to your requests in a timely manner.
We take the security of the data on our platform seriously. We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
